How to get around IP Ban?

IP ban is a block setup by a server to reject a request made from a particular IP or range of IP addresses. The IP ban may have been implemented automatically due to an abuse pattern detected by the server or placed manually by an administrator. IP ban is implemented to protect the server from abuse such as brute force attacks, block emails from known spammers, and limit usage by users. IP Ban allows a server to ban an IP address from accessing a website, forum, email, or game server.

How do you work around IP Ban?

If your IP is banned from a website or service, chances are that you probably violated the provider's terms of use. Try understanding their terms, and abide by them. If you need to regain service from a banned IP for urgent matters, you'll have to obtain a new IP address, and here are a few different ways to do it.

How do you work around User Account Ban?

If your user account is banned from a forum or game, it's different than an IP ban. If you're using a service from a website or game provider, you'll have to abide by their rules and understand what you're violating. You may have unintentionally violated their terms, and hence you may have to contact the service provider and regain access to the service.

  • Clear Cache - Some applications detect user accounts by reading cookie data. By clearing a browser cache, you may be able to regain application access.
  • Create a new account - If your user account is banned, you may have to create a new account. If the provider banned your account, chances are that you're violating their terms. Understand terms of use, and abide by them. eBay, Facebook, and other websites may shut down user accounts if they determine a user violates their terms of use.
  • Reinstall Application - If you're playing a game on a desktop application, you may have to reinstall the software to obtain a new Key (or Token) used to determine a user.

Conclusion

Website owners and service providers protect their users and assets by blocking abuses. If they detect abuse, they may block access to their website or service by banning IP addresses or blocking a user account. The best way to solve this problem is to abide by providers' rules and terms.

To suggest that the best way to avoid a website ban being to abide by their rules is awfully internety ignorant. I can give you two prime examples: TomsHardware and Nexus Mods. Both of those websites really enjoy banning people that are only aggressive in posts when defending themselves. In any case, it really is very, very ignorant to believe that the internet and websites have people running it who are just there to keep the peace. This is FALSE. So happy to continue subverting account and IP bans on a regular basis until we achieve world peace. Until then, nobody has the right to restrict my freedoms.
